GIJON CONFERENCE ON THE ECONOMICS OF LEISURE, CULTURE AND SPORT
OCTOBER 6TH- 7TH 2017

The conference of the Economics of Leisure, Culture and Sport will be held in Gijon (Spain) at Laboral, Faculty of Commerce, Tourism and Social Sciences Jovellanos, 2017, October 6-7 (Friday and Saturday).

Individuals are invited to submit unpublished communications related to the topic of the Conference.

All of the submissions will be assessed by a scientific committee.

Accommodation and meals during the conference are the responsibility of the organization. The participant fee is 150 euros.

One of the main aims of the Conference is to strength and renewal research on cultural, sports and leisure economics. For this reason, this event provides an opportunity for conference delegates who are graduate students (at masters and PhD level) or recent postgraduate students (less than five years from the date of their PhD dissertation) to discuss their papers and work in progress research amongst themselves and with other more experienced scholars who share an interest in questions surrounding economic aspects of culture, sports and leisure.

We encourage young researchers to send an extended abstract of the paper, in
pdf or word, (maximum 800 words), to the following email:

The extended abstract must fulfil to the following guidelines:
– Title
– Authors//affiliation/contact details
– Goals of the research
– Methodology
– Results
– Main conclusions

Important dates
June 10: call for papers
July 20: to send the extended abstract
July 25: communication of accepted papers
September 30: to send the full version of the paper

All accepted papers will be invited to be published in a book edited by the organizers (optional).
