Talk Sport 2014 is a careers fair dedicated to sport and related areas and is open to all.
Getting into the sports industry can be as tough as sport itself, even with an impressive CV and a degree from Loughborough University. Talk Sport gives you the opportunity to gain information, advice and guidance on careers in sport and investigate work experience and employment opportunities at Loughborough and beyond.
Benefits
The fair will provide an opportunity for Loughborough students and graduates to:
- meet face to face with representatives from high profile sports organisations;
- gain an insight into professional areas and possible job roles in sport;
- investigate the requirements of the industry including relevant experience and qualifications;
- explore opportunities for work shadowing, work experience, paid internships or employment;
- make useful contacts to assist with career planning.
Audience
This event is open to students in all programmes and will be of particular interest to those on sports related programmes.

Organisations have been invited from a range of areas including: Sports Science, Sports Education, Sports Coaching & Development, Leisure Management, Health & Fitness, Sports Technology, Sports Administration & Management, and other areas of Sports Business.

Preparation
Make time to look up the organisations that interest you before the day. Plan some questions to ask them and come along prepared to show them you are serious about your career planning.
Revise and check your CV and bring it along to impress an employer or gain their feedback. Ask for advice and if they would be happy for you to contact them in the future. If they offer to help you, ask if you can do anything for them in return.
